Placing the PC case off the ground can save space, but under-desk mounts transfer the weight to the desk frame; floor stands are more independent but require managing cable length and movement paths.
Mounts are suitable for desks with adjustable height
Moving the PC case with the desk can reduce cable strain, but you need to confirm the extra load capacity of the desktop, crossbeam, and the entire desk.
Floor stands are suitable for large or irregularly shaped cases
Double-layer, height-adjustable, or wheeled bases can more easily accommodate large PC cases and other devices, but all connecting cables must have sufficient slack when raising or lowering the desk.
Ventilation must not be obstructed by side brackets
Measure the intake, exhaust, and side panel opening positions. Brackets or trays must not press against glass, buttons, or ventilation grilles.
- Case width, height, depth
- Total weight of the PC
- Port and cooling directions
Perform highest and lowest position tests for cable management first
After installation, move the adjustable desk to its two extreme positions to ensure that power, display, and network cables are not taut or chafing.
Before choosing a mount, you must measure the actual PC case; do not just estimate the size based on names like ATX, "aquarium case," or PS5.
